Kevin Rudd, Australia's 26th Prime Minister, served from 2007 to 2010 and from 2013 to 2015. Early Life and Career

Kevin Michael Rudd was born on 21 September 1957 in Nambour, Queensland. He studied Chinese and Asian history at the Australian National University and later worked as a diplomat in China. In 1998, Rudd was elected to the House of Representatives as the member for Griffith. He served in a number of ministerial positions under Prime Minister John Howard, including Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Trade.

First Term as Prime Minister (2007-2010)

In 2007, Rudd led the Labor Party to a landslide victory in the federal election. He became Prime Minister on 3 December 2007. Rudd's first term in office was marked by a number of significant achievements, including:

Rudd was re-elected as Prime Minister in 2013. His second term in office was less successful than his first.
